Writer Tom Carr, author of Michigan true crime book Blood on the Mitten, will take the stage on Wednesday, May 30th at 7:00 PM. Tom Carr is an independent writer and journalist in northern Michigan who spent 25 years in daily newspapers, primarily in Traverse City Record-Eagle. This, his second book, deals with robbers, cutthroats, and thieves throughout Michigan’s history. (Admission is free.)

The post-apocalyptic horror film A Quiet Place is coming to the Rogers City Theater Friday June 8th at 7:30, Saturday June 9th at 7:30, Sunday June 10th at 2:00 and 7:30, and Monday June 11th at 7:30. A family must keep utterly silent to protect themselves from monsters that are attracted to the slightest sound. Rated PG-13. Please leave young children with a sitter for this one! (Note that we have no Friday showtime, as that night we’re hosting a stand-up comedy night!
Friday, June 22nd at 7:30 PM, as part of Presque Isle District Library’s 2018 Summer Reading Program, The Storytellers present their World Music & Stories show at the Rogers City Theater. Hear stories and music from around the world that engages audiences of all ages. Participate with hands-on musical instruments from around the world. Admission is FREE!
